Children and teenagers with an interest in pony-trekking will also learn about stable management and pony care in Horizon's Pony Camp.
"Our popular Pony Camp programme mixes tuition in pony-trekking with stable management and pony care. You will groom your horse, feed him, and look after him," said Catherine Wiley, Managing Director, Horizon.
"Each day you will trek on all kinds of trails throughout beautiful woodland and open countryside."
No experience is necessary to take part in Pony Camp, just a love of horses and a desire to learn.
We have a programme to suit beginners and
experienced riders. The more experienced riders
will be granted the opportunity to canter and jump.
On the last day of the programme campers take part in a full day at the riding stables, and the Horizon Gymkhana where you can put all you have learned during the week into practice.
We provide everything, but you must have a
pair of shoes or boots with a heel.
As parents ourselves, we have an instinctive understanding of the importance of not placing campers in dangerous or insecure situations.
