	CATHERINE WILEY (MANAGING DIRECTOR) 25 years and 2 million students later... Catherine Wiley has led the way in the Outdoor Education market in the UK. She founded Kingswood Educational Activity Centres 25 years ago in the UK, and remained at the helm for over two decades as Kingswood enjoyed its position as the largest operator of educational adventure centres in the country. Her vision and determination were key factors in Kingswood not only maintaining its pre-eminent position in the UK, but also in ensuring Kingswood constantly strove for new innovations and approaches. Catherine has now returned to Catherine's native west of Ireland, and bring to Horizon the two pillars which underpinned all of Kingswood's efforts - educational value and safety.


FRANK NOON (OPERATIONS DIRECTOR) 26 years and 250,000 students later... An avid sportsman all his life - and a former senior Gaelic footballer for Mayo and Connacht - Frank Noone was the pioneer of the Adventure Education Tour market for school groups 25 years ago. Frank identified what school groups were looking for, and he provided them with well-run and imaginative tours that attracted schools from all over Ireland. His mould-breaking Delphi centre in Co. Mayo introduced 250,000 students to out-of-the classroom education. Horizon Education and Adventure Activity Centres marks another milestone in education beyond the confines of the classroom wall, and prides itself on anticipating the future needs of school groups in a changing Ireland.
